Six Food Illustration Designs, Set One
This speed art video draws six food illustrations one after another in Adobe Illustrator. The set is meant as a source of ideas for food icons, infographics, menus, web graphics and packaging, and shows how one drawing routine works across very different subjects.
The artwork
Each item is drawn in a semi-realistic vector style: clean base shapes, smooth gradient shading, soft highlights and a few texture marks, on a plain light background so it can be reused anywhere. Watching the six in a row makes the repeated steps easy to spot: silhouette, mid-tone fill, shadow shapes, highlights, details.
A second set of six food illustrations from November 2021 is also on this site, and a longer version of this session is available for channel members.
