Metallic Logo Design in Illustrator

This short video shows the main steps of building a trendy metallic logo mark in Adobe Illustrator. There is no voiceover, so it is best watched as a process video: pause where the shape changes and you can follow how the form is built.

The artwork

The finished mark is a twisted ring, like a rounded knot, rendered in cool metallic tones from deep blue through teal to a pale silver highlight. The surface has smooth gradient shading that makes it look like polished metal, and the shape sits on a dark background so the highlights stand out. It is the kind of mark that works for tech, finance or software brands.

What to look for

Watch the order: the basic ring shape first, then the twist, then the shading is layered on with gradients to create the metal look. Much of the effect comes from where the light and dark bands sit, not from the shape itself. The other videos in the logo playlist show more letter-based ideas if you want to build a set.

This is a speed art video showing the steps, not a narrated tutorial.
